Appearance: lts specific gravity is 1.69. lt can easily absorb moistureand agglomerate. lts dehydration temperature is 86.5°C. lt issoluble in water, acid and alkali, insoluble in alcohol and itsaqueous solution is acidic with characteristic flavor of both acid andastringent, Heated to 530℃, it begins to resolve and stop at 860'Cthe final decomposition product is r-AL₂O₃.
