Molecular Formula:NH4AL(SO4)2 · 12H2O
Alias: Ammonium aluminum sulfate; Aluminum ammonium alum; Ammonium alum
Properties: Colorless, transparent cubic crystals, white granules or powder. Odorless and astringent in taste, it has a melting point of 93.5°C and a relative density of 1.64. It is soluble in water, with a solubility of 15g/100 ml of water at 20°C. It is easily soluble in hot water, and its aqueous solution is colorless, transparent, and acidic. It is soluble in dilute acid and glycerol, but insoluble in alcohol.
Application fields
This product is mainly used in baking powder production, fried food processing, jellyfish pickling, vermicelli processing, keeping fruits and vegetables fresh and crisp, color preservation, water purification and environmental protection, disinfection, rubber processing, leather tanning, laundry detergent production, feed processing, pencil manufacturing, etc.
